The following guide will show how to add players to a lineup on COMET, and then confirm the lineup. This will be on the web version of COMET.
How to add players to a lineup
1. Find the relevant match
This will show in your 'My Next Matches' tab on the COMET Home Page.
You can also find this in the specific competition, in the list of fixtures in a given round.
2. Click on your club
Once you are in the fixture, you then need to click on your team.
3. Click 'Load Available Players'
At the bottom of the page, you can then click 'load available players'
4. Select your lineup
Once you have a list of available players. There will be different tabs.
L - Lineup. These will be substitutes.
SL - Starting Lineup. This is your starting team.
PL - Played. This will only appear if your competition is rolling subs. In this scenario, this box needs to be ticked for all substitutes before the lineup is confirmed.
GK - Goalkeeper. This is for anyone that is a Goalkeeper. The lineup will require exactly 1.
CP - Captain. This is for your captain. The lineup will require exactly. 1.
No. - Number. This is the shirt number for each player. Each number can only be used once.
5. Select the relevant players and move the lineup across
You will then need to select your team, by ticking the relevant boxes and ensuring each player has a shirt number.
Once sorted, you can then use the arrow to move them across to your active lineup.
6. Adding additional players and removing players
If you need to add any additional players, you can do this before confirming the lineup. Once the lineup has been confirmed, either the Referee, Competition Manager, or the FAW will need to do this.
In this example, we have ticked PL and L. This would be the requirement in a competition with rolling subs. If you did not tick this box, match events will not be able to be added to those players.
If you needed to remove any players, you can do this by using the bin icon. The bin icon at the top of the lineup, will remove all players.
7. Adding Team Officials and Kits
Once you have added the team, you can also add the team officials and kits. It does not matter which order you do this in, however it is important to note that EDIT should only be pressed when adding team officials and kits. DO NOT press EDIT when adding players.
8. Once you have pressed EDIT, you can select from the list of individuals in the roles.
If you need to add someone in a role other than 'Team Manager', if you press ADD, you can include additional roles and select the individuals.
9. Adding Kits
From this page, you can also add your kits by selecting them from the dropdown.
If kits do not appear, you will need to create them in your clubs page.
If the wrong kits appear, then it is likely they have been created in the wrong place. You would need to check your individual team profile here for what kits have been added.
10. Confirming the Lineup
Once you are happy all of the details are correct, you can then confirm the lineup. We would only recommend doing this on the date of the game (and not the night before), in case of any last minute changes or postponements)
To do this, you need to press EDIT (if you haven't already from previous steps) and the 'Save as CONFIRMED'
Once a lineup is confirmed, you will not be able to change it yourself, so make sure that it is correct before confirming this.
