What to do if a game is postponed?

Modified on Thu, 8 Aug at 3:14 PM

If a match needs to be postponed for any reason, then you can save this as postponed on COMET. When rearranging the game, please do not create a new game, simply just add a new date, and save as SCHEDULED.

Postponing an individual match

To do this, press EDIT and 'Save as POSTPONED"

Once you press this, it will pop up with a box

We understand there can be many different reasons for matches being postponed, however where possible, please be specific as possible when it comes to the reason for postponement.

For example:

Was it due to a Waterlogged pitch / frozen pitch? If so, rather than just putting 'weather' or 'other' please be specific about this.

Was it due to a team being unable to field a team? If so, please don't just put 'other', please include further details including which team it relates to.

There will be many more reasons, but being specific is important.

Once a reason has been included, please press YES

Do not change this status without inputting a reason.

Postponing Matches in Bulk

To do this, you will need to use 'search matches'.

First you will need find the relevant matches, using the competition search. You will need to ensure that the boxes highlighted in red are correct, and the competition and relevant dates are filled in.

Once you have done this, you can search and find the games that you are looking to postpone. This can be by either including date, venue, round, club, or any game at scheduled.

From here, you can press EDIT and then fill in the 'current status' and 'next status' boxes.

Once you press change status, this will change the status for all games that meet the parameters set.
