In junior competitions, rolling subs are often used. When rolling subs are used, this changes how match events are added on COMET.
In a normal fixture, a player will need to be substituted onto the field, with this being an event in itself on COMET. Once on the field, match events such as goals and assists can be added.
However, when rolling subs are used, the process is different. Before a lineup is confirmed, all subs should be moved to PLAYED. If this is done, then match events can be added at any time, without the need to sub them on and off.
If subs are not moved to PLAYED before confirming the lineup, then you will not be able to add match events such as goals and assists.
If you are not sure how to add players to a lineup, check out the following guide.
Adding a player to a lineup and setting them as PLAYED
1. Ensure that L and PL are ticked
Once these are ticked, you can move them across to the lineup
Moving a player to PLAYED once you have already added them to a lineup
1. Click on a player in a lineup
2. Tick PLAYED and then 'SAVE'
3. The PLAYED symbol will then show next to their name
Now when you click on the player, you will be able to add match events.
