Logging in to the Cymru Football App

As of 03/11/2025, you will now be required to login to the Cymru Football App.

Depending on your involvement in the game in Wales, you should fall into one of 5 groups. How you login initially will depend on which group you fall under. 

1. Active COMET Users with Person Profile Linked

This includes anyone that already has a COMET Login and has a person linked to their account. This would include most Referees and League Officials. You can find out if you have a person profile linked by checking on your login to see if you have a 'My Profile' option. You will then have two options as below:

1. If you do have a 'My Profile' option, then your account is linked. You can use your normal COMET Login to access the Cymru Football App.

2. If you do not have a 'My Profile' option, then your account is NOT linked. Before logging in, you will need to link your profiles. To do this, follow step 2. 

2. Active COMET Users WITHOUT Person Linked 

This includes anyone that currently has a COMET Login, but does not have a person linked. This for example would include most players, coaches, staff, officials. You can find out if you have a person profile linked by checking on your login to see if you have a 'My Profile' option. 

You should use your normal COMET Login details to access the app. Once you have put these in, you should do then get the option to create your profile by filling in the mandatory details. 

IMPORTANT - YOU SHOULD USE THE NAME EMAIL AS LISTED ON YOUR COMET PROFILE TO ENSURE IT FINDS YOUR PROFILE. 

If you use a different email, you will have two options. 

1. Contact support@faw.cymru with your details and we will update on the system. This will then allow you to select the profile and continue. 

2. Press 'None of the presented profiles belong to me. I want to create a new profile'. This will then create a duplicate profile for you and allow you to continue. The FAW will tidy up any duplicates in the backend at a later date. 

For existing COMET users, it will ask you to either provide a one time code, or set up 2 Factor Authentication (2FA)

If you have not yet set up 2FA, but are no longer involved with the club/area association your profile is with, we can change your profile to reduce to MEMBER access, that will remove the need for 2FA. 

If you are still involved, you will need to set up 2FA before you can access the app. 

3. COMET Profile with an email address attached

If you have a COMET Profile as a participant of Welsh Football (EG: Player, Coach, Staff, Referee, Official etc) and have an email address linked to your profile, then you will receive via email, a personalised signup link.

Here - you will need to open this link on your mobile device (or whichever device you are using for the Cymru Football App) and  follow the steps accordingly. This will then link your profiles and allow you to log in. 

4. COMET Profile WITHOUT an email address attached 

When you sign up, you may be prompted with an option to indicate that a matching profile is found for you on the system. Now you have two options:

1. Contact support@faw.cymru with your details and we will update on the system. This will then allow you to select the profile and continue. 

2. Press 'None of the presented profiles belong to me. I want to create a new profile'. This will then create a duplicate profile for you and allow you to continue. The FAW will tidy up any duplicates in the backend at a later date. 

5. All other users

If none of the above apply to you, you will need to simply register your details with the app. You should then be able to proceed with logging in.
